in Italian. These beige and brown mottled beans are an old European
heirloom originally collected from Tierra del Fuego next to Argentina in
South America. Related to the cranberry bean. Medium-sized, oval, and
plump, and turn dusky during cooking. Hearty and full-flavored. Good
with pasta, marinated with salads, or cooked with vegetables. Can
replace Cranberry or Pinto beans in any recipe. |
